YOGA/MOVEMENT PRACTICE
Regular body/mind centering practice is a key element to experiencing what I have to offer you. One of my primary goals is to help you develop and sustain a regular movement practice.
The essential purpose of this practice is to encourage a clear and quiet mind so that internal "seeing" happens. Through a steady practice you develop the ability to see and know what is true, essential and important for you.
I encourage a body/mind practice that offers you a path to experience this fundamental union with your wise self by drawing from your connection with your natural environment; the earth, the rivers, the air, all sounds, vibrations, light, and space.
I teach the three basic areas of practice that form the root of yoga:
• Cleansing practices that produce clarity of purpose
• Reflective practices that help us to find who we are
• Practices of devotion that impact the quality and intention of our actions
Sessions typically include practice of physical postures, breath awareness, guided visualizations, chakra exploration, concentration practices or meditation practices.
I teach yoga postures with an overall focus on alignment and attunement through awareness of energetic flow.
~All yoga postures or movements I suggest are to suit your body, using props and creativity to assist you safely and with ease into movements. Arrive comfortably dressed and be ready to move.
